Egypt's sub-global assessment, a part of the Arab Millennum Ecosystem Assessment, is a community-based assessment, conducted in the El Maghara area, North Sinai. A main objective of the assessment is to capture real life experience of changes in ecosystems and human well-being. The inhabitants of El Maghara area are among the poorest and least served in Sinai, and probably in Egypt.
