A revision of the Valera version of the Bible issued jointly by the American Bible Society and the British and Foreign Bible Society, and circulated mainly in Spanish-speaking Central and South America. Originally prepared by the following committee: Juan Diaz, Mexico, N.E. Spinoza, Chile, Alfonso Lloreda, Venezuela, Alfonso Rodriguez, Cuba, H. Parra, Colombia. Suggestions were also received from a committee working with A. Araujo.
