This is the story of the life and times of Sarah Sarai who was one of only a handful of Kenyan women arrested and detained by the British colonialists on the night of October 20th, 1952, the same day that Jomo Kenyatta and other nationalist leaders were arrested and detained for their role in the Mau Mau armed rebellion against British rule.
