Kenya’s darkest hour is a chronicle of events associated with Kenya’s controversial December 2007 elections that resulted in large-scale inter-ethnic violence during which more than 1,000 people lost their lives and close to half a million were rendered homeless. This seven-part documentary series looks at the efforts made by the international community through former UN secretary Koffi Annan and chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Louis Moreno-Ocampo, to mediate between Kenya’s warring political factions and to try and ensure that those responsible for the horrors of the post election violence were brought to book.
